parent comment hall of fame
By roo

Clip to ScrapBook
During my first year of teaching I had a parent of a student request a meeting with all of the grade level teachers and the principal. She was not happy with how her daughter was doing, esp. in math (my subject). She asked why her daughter was doing so poorly all of a sudden. I explained that her daughter had a very weak recall of multiplication facts and students were expected to have them memorized. She complained that I "untaught her because she knew all of her facts perfectly in 3rd grade". It's a standing joke at school that I am so good that I can acutally UNteach! We barely made it out of that meeting before giggling.
