Dried Bee

I've had some very strange ones but recently a parent complained because I took a half-point off on some science work. During our Wisconsin Fast Plants unit, the students use dried bees to pollinate the plants. One of the
assignments is to draw the dried bee exactly as you see it.
One student drew a stinger, antenna and blue stripes on the bee. The parent complained that I was being to "nit-picky" and maybe he really saw blue stripes. Then she asked what I thought about his handwriting. I responded that he's working on making the tails on "g" go below the line. Then she said in a very angry voice,

"He's perfectly normal!" Sigh....

Several years ago I got a note saying so-and-so couldn't do her homework because her father was an a**hole. That note went into the note hall-of-fame file folder.
