and I agree with Kerry completely. I believe it was spoken as a generalization about parents. I have parents in my room that I have little doubt they love their kids, but aren't very good parents. I can tell within the first two days of school (or open house before school starts) which kids really have good parents. Granted some of them can't help it because they are just caught in the cycle of no means to be truly supportive, but others just flat out don't care. Why should they when they can just pass the buck to the teachers?
