I think the principal just thought the situation funny. I don't think he/she was agreeing with the behavior, just admused by it. I'm sure they've had dealings with this child before and are at their wits' end on what to
do. Sometimes humor or seeing the funny side of things..make things endurable.

Let's admit it...sometimes we just have no "cure" for children such as this. They learned the behavior somewhere...home! Though I don't like doing this, I'd set up a desk outside in the hallway and when he acts like that, remove him. Give him plenty of "seatwork"...keep his nose to the grindstone...no cooperative

learning, no classroom activities...until HE is ready to accept authority and cooperate. Remember, HE is in charge of his own learning. There is only so much we can do.
