Violence in writing
By Rosie

Clip to ScrapBook
You might want to refer the child to the social worker or psychologist. Last year I had a child who drew pictures that I felt had to do with death and was telling stories about violent deaths to the other children. I sent him to the social worker and she found out that his dad had told him a story about a person at work who had died a violent death. A relative had also died recently and the parents had tried to shield him from the death. It could be that something has happened in your student's life that you are not aware of and the social worker might be able to help him find a more positive way to deal with it.He may also have a relative serving in the Middle East and be concerned about that person.
