Japanese lanterns, wind socks, and Japenese Koi. You can make just about anything 3d by making two copies of what ever you are doing, like a japanese koi (goldfish) Color one side of each, my students water colored them then staple half of it stuff with one piece of tissue paper then staple the other rest of it. Then Hole punch the top and string and hang. The wind socks are contruction paper with crepe paper on the ends then made into a tube and hole punched. We did patriotic ones but you could do any theme.
