Literacy Leader

Well our LL sets up professional development for K-3 teachers (we are a Reading First school). Through our grant we got a great deal of money so she buys what we need and we get to choose things too. She holds after school| (come as you want) classes that we get to choose from and we get paid a stipend (this is all grant related, so I don't know if you have the money or not but the classes are good so you could hold one a month that they have to come to). Some of the classes are make-and-take (items to use in the classroom for literacy), centers ideas, fluency, vocabulary games, etc. She also comes in | |
and does a 10 min. checklist as you teach-NOT a big deal. She coordinates the DIBELS testing that we use. She even comes in and demonstrates lessons for us if we feel a need for a particular area.Can you give me a little more about YOUR job description and maybe I can give you more specifics on that.
