I'm sorry you aren't feeling appreciated

It sounds like you are a very difficult situation and praise is hard to come by. YOu must be a very dedicated teacher to stay in this environment. WHen I was first hired I went to a new teacher seminar. One of the speakers said something that sticks with me now when I am having a hard time at work. You may be the only person who can reach a particular child. You may be the only positive force in the life of a child. Your class may be the only stable enviroment for a child. You may be the person who turns a child's life around. Sometimes the praise isn't forthcoming at the time we need it. Sometimes the praise comes years later when a child comes back to see you as an adult and tells you what your class meant to them. I hope this helps.
