Advice

Clip to ScrapBook
I definitely think that the students should be held accountable for the books they read. I would require them to write a few sentences to show that they actually read the book. I like to do very quick book talks and they are random. I don't announce who I will ask or what book they are to tell me about. It has worked for me. Once someone gets caught not having read a book, it usually doesn't happen again, probably due to embarassment. Good Luck!!!
