My RR sheet

I call mine refrigerator reading. To keep kids from just making minutes up, I make them write a weekly 5-point paragraph explaining to me what they read. It ties in with writing. If they write things like "It was cool" or "I liked it" they have to tell me why. It is pretty hard to lie when you have to explain what you read. The 60 minutes a week is just worth 5 points, and the paragraph is worth 5 also. They can read all they want, or make up how much they read, but if they don't tell me about it, they end up with a 50% (F)
