I don't know that I would go so far as to requesting to put a fridge in my room..but how about buying a six pack of canned soda? That limits the openess of the drink. Also, keep the cans in a Walmart (or other sack) with your name on the outside. If this doesn't work..then maybe I would contemplate a fridge for my room. :-)
