I'm surprised about your experience with Harcourt Math. We just got it, too. It does things in a different order so it is a little more challenging than our old program. But I think the kids may be better prepared for the Terra Novas in the spring. The second grade has many hands on activities. I'll have to ask the third grade teachers and see what they think.We got the unit books (available through second), practice workbooks, and problem solving books. Next year we don't want one for each child. Sometimes we only use one side. Good luck!
