I am an elementary ESL teacher working in a public school. I was introduced to the FOUR SQUARE WRITING METHOD (Teaching and Learning Company/TLC) this year, by a colleague of mine. We began using it with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd graders and we LOVE it. It is an excellent organizer for students and can be adapted to work for both beginner writers and advanced.
