Religion Craft Activities
By Barb/Ohio

Clip to ScrapBook
I am not teaching 3rd grade currently but here are some things I have done in 3rd grade. I guess they are more project based than crafts. Hope this helps.

~Dressed Saints ~ Each child researched a saint. I gave them
a paper doll type pattern and then they created a dressed paper doll to represent their saint. They also had to give a short oral report on their saint.

~ Gifts of the Holy Spirit Book ~ The children illustrated each gift on separate pages in the book. The front and back cover was black constuction paper with a white dove (Holy Spirit) on the front. The book was tied with white ribbon.

~

Diorama ~ Each child picked a Corporal Act of Mercy or(I can't remeber what the other choice was) to illustrate in diorama form. This was actually a project to do at home but you could do it in class.

~ Stations of the Cross ~ Choose one to illustrate or work with a partner. Display in your classroom.

~ Lenten Promise ~ On cross shape put what Lenten promise is, decorate.

~ Holy Week ~ Book illustrating each important day of Holy Week. Children can also write about each day.

~ Prayer Book ~ Devote a page to different things. Like a page for Thanks, Forgiveness, Help, etc.

If I think of anymore I will send another post!
