I'm a new teacher too.

I am so sorry that your 1st year is so awful. I have had a great class this year but I am sure it won't always be that way. I can't believe that your principal gave you such a difficult class, especially since it's your| 1st year. All I can say is to try to keep your chin up. Just think Christmas break is right around the corner. I've heard that after the holidays it is all down hill. I do have a little advice: Do you have a positive reinforcement plan? I went to a craft store and bought glass marbles. I split my class into 4 groups. Each group has a jar with their table number on it. The tables | |
have to work together to earn marbles. I also award marbles for answering questions correctly about different things we are learning. The table with the most marbles at the end of the week gets to pick a prize from the treasure chest. I'll be thinking about you. Hang in there!
