My Thought EXACTLY
By Yuck

Clip to ScrapBook
I had the same thought as did the school nurse. Unfortunately, there's nothing we can do. There are no physical indications of abuse and we can't assume and act based on speculation alone.

The kid was late to school today,
so he missed all of his academic services (the sped teacher felt this was ok, since he was late due to a doctor's appointment ... hmmm ... couldn't get a later appointment?? KNOWING how BADLY he's doing in school and how OFTEN he's late and misses services, and how OFTEN he's absent and misses services??). His mother talked to me when she dropped him off, pediatrician said he was
fine, needed no blood work, and that he just needed more sleep. Ok ... constipation and crapping himself isn't a problem?!?!?!?!

Whoever posted about parents having to come get him whenever he goes to the bathroom in his pants to take him home for a shower has a good idea ... then they will see how disruptive it is to his kid's academic and emotional well-being, and maybe they'll get off their lazy butts and do something about it.

Unfortunately, this family has a BAD history (they have three other kids in the system) and are just known to be whatever you want to call them. It's not a good situation, and so all I care about now is this kid, to you-know-where with his parents.
