The kids acting out to the stress in their lives to me is better than the kids that act out because of being spoiled. Last year I had an ADHD kid who constantly reminded me that he couldn't help his behavior even after taking| meds. It drove me crazy! This kid received everything that the she wanted. If dad said no, ask mom because she'll say yes. I have another one this year that is so spoiled and babied. He doesn't complete his work and then mom sends me notes telling me I need to send the work home and not take away his recess. She says it's not fair and he is trying so hard. Well in my opinion, | |
he is not trying at all! He just tells mom that because he knows she will defend him no matter what he does. Basically, kids act out due to crappy parenting because the parents aren't involved in their child's life and then there are kids that act out because the parent's are too involved and do not make the child take responsibility for anything. We need doctors to stop diagnosing ADHD and start sending parents to parenting classes.
