I Understand Completely By Experience Job

It hasn't happened to me a lot, but it does happen. Am I happy, heck no - not usually. But like the above poster said "Roll with it." I do understand your vent. You sound like I used to until I decided if I'm going to| be happy subbing, then I'd better change my outlook. All that you describe is part of subbing. It can be tough, as well as rewarding I've learned to be super flexible. I've also learned to treat each sub day like an adventure. I used to freak out a lot because I wanted everything just so-so (perfect or near as perfect as possible). With each job, you can loosen up a bit. And with | | each job switch, you become more comfortable when you here something like "Oh, we need you to go to K, not 6th grade.As you become known, very well known for your good work, sub jobs probably come your way frequently. That is what happened to me. I rarely have a day off. Also, perhaps to prepare for the switches, you might want to keep a portable file in the trunk of your car. A little something for each grade level. That way, if they pull a switch on you, you can make a trip back to your car and get the proper grade-level materials. Are you looking for a full-time teaching job? Or are you subbing for primarily the money? Just curious. Hang in there. It will get better with more experience. Experienced Sub
