A teacher I worked with last year laminated dozens of postcards some had famous art, others lnadscapes, sculpture, poems, quotes, etc. Student were to draw the picture or write the quote etc, then write about it. They could write a story, poem etc about the picture. The students also added to the collection. Students then would read other people intpretations of the ast or poem and respond to the piece and some days they would critique the writing, was it organized, grammar correct etc. The students loved this and they were able to express their creativity in writing and drawing.
