Clip to ScrapBook
I think that the students I have this year are the lowest and most immature I have ever had in 3rd grade. Most of my students do not know their addition facts and are definitely not ready to learn multiplication. We were warned by last year's second grade teachers that they were very low then. Nice kids but they do not have the ability to focus and do not see the seriousness of learning. Very inattentive and weak at problem solving. Then again, we are teaching abstract problem solving and skills to concrete level students. Go figure. I hope you don't believe that they really blame you. One can only take a child so far each year.
