Dollar Store
By Teacher

Clip to ScrapBook
Go to a dollar store and load up! Little toys, games, etc. Stickers. Have them earn time to do "fun" things (a craft, fun work sheets, etc). Time to pick a buddy and lead a game of Simon Says or Seven Up or Around the
World or whatever. Perhaps a walk around the school grounds or uptown or something as a class. Let them save up points to ask you a question that you will consider answering (little kids are particularly good fot this, because if you say to them, "You can ask me where I work or what kind of car I have or whatever you want", they will usually ask you where you work or what kind of car
you have).
Get some brain teasers/logic problems/crossword puzzles/word searches/games/surveys, and have a "game party". They usually like anything that you call a party. Do some unusual craft, like a "scrapbooking party", a "candlemaking party", a "cardmaking party". Do a "sport party" or a "math party". You can have rewards like little balls, candles, stamps, whatever goes with the theme.
Hope you can use some of these.
