Four Square Method

My elementary(Grades K-5) school uses the Four Square resource books. The program teaches the students to start with a topic sentence, then add three supporting details, and then a feeling or summary sentence. It's a great way for beginning writers to organize their thoughts. Our state writing assessments have improved after using this method for a couple of years.
