Number sense
By Sue W.

Clip to ScrapBook
Use a lot of activities with counting real objects, real people. Play games that require counting of things. Have a weekly estimation contest with a jar containing candy or peanuts or metal washers, or whatever elese you may want to stick in it. Do you have tens and ones counting rods, that might help some kids. Check with your ESOL teacher, if there is something more specific that may help from the language standpoint.
