Teachers have Thursday and Friday off here, but Wednesday is a teacher work day, used for catching up on record keeping, getting report cards done and whatever else we need to do for planning, etc. So the kids have Wednesday off too, which is great for families who plan to travel.
Even though we don't have the day off, it is great to have that day, with pay, to do stuff that usually spills into our personal time.
