Attending
By Cheryl

Clip to ScrapBook
I loved all your replies. The truth is I'm a champion of graphic organizers, sticky notes, tell me what they think, etc. This does work but I need to be on top of the students I refer to in this post. I think attending is the issue. With 23 kids in my classroom. I just can't sit one-to-one with these kids for more time than I do. What do I do now--20 minutes with them as a small group on Monday and again on Tuesday. The Pilgrim stories were read aloud to the class and then I met with these "poor attenders" in two conferences one-to-one. The key is attending. How can I get them to focus in on their own attending when I'm not sitting by their side?
