Hi Brenda! How about doing a large mural based on the story/ movie "The Polar Express" Our school is doing a theme on trains right now as we are all going to the movie on Wednesday. Also, you could do a large Santa with his sleigh and each child could put in a paper drawing of the 1 toy they really want. You could also have 4 or 5 large trees that are puffed out a bit and have the kids draw themselves decorating them. That way you can use real tinsel, flat unbreakable ornaments etc. Hope you have fun!
