Depends on the school

To some extent, what I bring with me depends on the school and the class itself. Sadly, the ones who get the most "stuff" are generally the ones where behaviour is the worst and I use a prize at the end of the day as an
incentive for better behaviour.
I find that kids are pretty 'word searched' out so I try to bring other things as well or at least a word search that had a riddle answer as part of finishing the word search. I have some "number word searches" (same idea but with numbers either adding up or subtracing...for example on a "Sum of it" search, if they see the numbers 3 5 and 8 in a row, they

would circle those because 3+5=8; if it's a "minus" search and they see 7 2 5 in a row, they would circle those because 7-2=5; I find the kids find these a bit less "routine" than wordsearches and are more eager to try them). I always bring math flash cards for playing math games and I find that playing a game like "Sparkle" (which requires nothing more than their spelling words and maybe a sticker or pencil for the winners, if you wish) is always a great game and kids love to play it - even the weaker students can usually come up with the one letter they need when it's their turn and anyone can run the risk of being eliminated - even the great spellers - if they get "sparkled".
