dog bone
By gail

Clip to ScrapBook
This reminds me of another activity I have for letter matching, actually 2 activities. I have copied a picture of a dog with a dog dish in front of him. You could put the rhyming word, picture, or base sound on the dog dish. Make several more dog and dish pictures with different sounds on them. Copy several bones and glue rhyming pictures on them. The child needs to match the bones to the right dogs.
You can also do this with fish bowl pictures and fish. Be sure to let the children color the fish and dogs before you attach the pics. They love to see their own work and supervisors love it too.
Taking it from there, you can make turkeys and feathers, trees with ornamants, snowmen and snowflakes, valentines and hearts, etc.
