Homework

I teach third grade. On Monday they do sentences for words 1 - 10. Tuesday sentences for 11 - 20. Wednesday is word pyramids. Thursday is a word search from Discovery School. They also have homework for reading and math, so this is plenty for spelling. The parent may need to be reminded that the purpose of homework is to practice, reinforce, and/or prepare for learning. It is not supposed to be overly challenging, especially at the 2 - 3 level. This parent may also be one that will never be satisfied. Do what you know is best for your students. Good luck.
