that many people are not able to book time off work, change plans, etc., in only a week. I'm just thinking of the people I know, who have work schedules, weddings, visitors, vacations, etc. planned more than a month in advance. However, I would think a week would be more than enough time to find a sitter. Also, I am not completely sure about your situation - did the parents know it would be a week's notice when they signed up for it? If so, they shouldn't be complaining now. Don't stress over it. Hopefully, someone will be available. You can't please all of the people all of the time.
