Sugar causing hyperactive behavior is a myth. That link was disproven years ago, yet no one seems to have heard. But it is a myth, nonetheless. I agree these kids need meds--but there is a backlash against medicating children. I don't know what the answer is. It's tough to deal with these kids, even on their best days. But sugar doesn't affect them at all.
