a good point

Clip to ScrapBook
It is an interesting point that the symptoms of stress and possibly neglect = ADHD. I know that I am seeing more and more anxious children in my classroom and I think what do you have to worry about. But when you talk to
the kids one has a dad who is never home...travels around the world and when he calls yells at the boy instead of asking about his day, one says dad will be mad - do I translate that into dad will beat me? and another says she's afraid to talk above a whisper...why is that? She can't say....

so I went to an inservice last Friday about anxiety and guess what? it is often misdiagnosed

as ADHD...because when a child is anxious or worried they can not concentrate on what's happening in school because they're worried about their own complicated little lives.

Tim McGraw has it right when he sings about the way it was back when....
