ADD/ADHD Medication
By Joan/Ca

Clip to ScrapBook
"Thing is, the ones in my room who are on meds still act out constantly and are always disrupting class. As teachers, we cannot tell parents their kids need to be on medicine. We're not doctors."

I'm replying to the above portion of your post.
Sometimes when this occurs, the diagnosis is incorrect. If Ritalin is not working, then ADD/ADHD may be the incorrect diagnosis. Often, children with behaviour similar to ADD/ADHD are suffering from an anxiety disorder as GAD, SA, OCD, SP, etc. One of the main clues is that Ritalin does not work - the child may need further medical investigation (mental health professionals) to better diagnose the issue.
