FOr every study that you can find that says many children who start on ritalin end up on other drugs - there are opposing studies which say that children who do not go on ritalin (or other medication) will end up experimenting with drugs. the answer is there is no clear cut answer. I do agree that diet plays an important role in the children's lives. I also think we are a McDOnald's society - we want it our way and we want it now. That is certainly true of many children today. Many children are lacking the basics of just plain old manners. I think the whole thing is just plain scary. It will be interesting to see what this generation becomes.
