At this point in the year about 5 can id all upper and lower case, several can idenitfy more then 20, most can identify 15+, but I do have about 5 that are still under 10- those children are getting small group pull-out. I have 24 children in total.
By the end of the year children are expected to know all the letters and sounds as well as some blends, and be writing simple sentences and reading at an a-c level, some go further, most achieve this, but it is very rare that a child is held back even if they aren't achieving it.
