Parental Problems

I think we've all had parents who refuse to take responsibility for their kid's behavior. I wouldn't tell the mom that her son wouldn't be challenged until he did his work-that's kind of confrontational. I would just stay firm in your position that he's showing disrespect in all of his classes, not just yours. Also can you refer him to a child study team? That takes some of the weight off you.
