Clip to ScrapBook
Our principal is not retiring, but leaving to a new school.

I teach kinder and as a class we are making a door stop.

I purchased a LARGE smooth river rock from a local landscaping store - all of 80 cents!

I painted
it BRIGHT YELLOW with acryli paints.

Then each child took different colors of ink and made their thumbprint all over the rock.

I then in a fine black paint pen, made either a little girl or a little boy out of their thumbprint - the thumbprint is the body and then I just drew a VERY primitive stick person out of their print. I then drew their name underneath.

In BIG letters across

the rock, I wrote,

MR XXXXX
as a principal
You ROCK!!!
name of school and years of service.

I then varnished it to a high shine . . it is so dang cute!!!

We have not given it yet, but everyone who has seen it said it was adorable.

Just an idea . .hope it helps or spurns on new ideas!!

blessings
Kim
