I use the 4Block system, and this schedule worked out well for me:Mon., Tues., Thurs., Fri.
7:45-8:00 Morning Work (either journal work or SSR, whichever we wouldn't cover in class that day)
8:00-8:40 Guided Reading
8:40-9:15 Word Work
9:15-10:00 Writing Workshop/SSR
10:00-10:15 Recess and snack
10:15-11:00 Science/S. Studies/FCAT
11:00-12:00 Math
12:00-12:30 Lunch
12:30-12:50 Geography/Science
12:50-1:30 Specials
1:30-1:45 Clean Up, Read Aloud Wed.
7:45-8:00 Morning Work (math)
8:00-8:40 Guided Reading
8:40-9:15 Word Work
9:15-9:45 SSR
9:45-10:15 Writing Workshop
10:20-10:50 Lunch
10:50-11:00 Mad Minute
11:00-12:00 Math
12:00-12:20 Geography/Science, Clean Up, Read Aloud
