MAP-A
By Jennifer

Clip to ScrapBook
You are right that the current MAP-A is only an indicator that a teacher can fill out more paperwork (that's just what we need). The students take no part in the process except for giving us data for the pages through their
actions and work towards their IEP goals. One of my girls took a district assessment which gives her a very low score, but then she is now learning to drive a motorized wheelchair. How are these standardized tests really measuring their intelligence? Even when a child is non-verbal and physically limited, they have intelligence that those close to them are able to see, but no test
will ever be able to measure.

Also, I am not happy with many of the things our current governor and his administration are doing, he is not very realistic when it comes down to benefits for individual people who really deserve them.
