I hope I have never given anyone such an unfriendly look, and I'm sorry you've experienced that, but I guess I just don't see the need to have a close friend at work. I'm so busy that a really close friend would probably be a distraction. And you know what else? It's a good idea to be really careful about what you say to people at work anyway. Close friends in the workplace have a way of turning out to be NOT sometimes. I have a full life away from the job, and just come to school to be a teacher.
