go in... By Mrs. D

If it's possible I would set up an informal meeting or hand deliver your resume. They will be able to put a name with a face. I can't tell you how many principals like the fact that people are willing to put forth the extra effort. Also I know one principal who won't consider or interview anyone who hasn't hand delivered their resume. Of course the one problem is that principals are SO busy, and you never know when they're in their office. You could possibly call ahead and speak to the secretary. Ask her, "When will so and so be in their office today?" "When is the best time to stop in for a few minutes and meet with the principal?" It's hard to say when! They are in and out. Good luck!
