glad I'm not the only one...

Although I really DO feel badly for you, somehow it's nice to know I'm not the only one in this situation! I have called (about 2 weeks after I send information usually) or e-mailed, and no one has ever been very friendly. I guess these schools are getting hundreds of apps. for each position, and most are entirely on-line. I just don't know how to make myself stand out if I can't even get an interview! I think my cover letters are strong and I tailor them to the school (when I can, because the on-line ones have to be generic).
What else can we do?!?
