to respond to all your questions, but I can atleast address one.
What would I see if I were to walk into your classroom?
Upon entering my classroom you would see a bright and colorful environment, wholly centered on
children and their learning. The alphabet, numbers, and other educational extensions would cover the walls. I would also have a bulletin board to display student work as a celebration of their learning. Desks would usually be arranged in small groups, as that best supports my teaching style. My classroom would be literacy focused, with a library containing books of different genre
and levels. My day would begin with greeting my students at the door. I think this is really important, as it shows the students you are glad they are at school and makes them feel welcome. When my students enter the classroom, they will know exactly what procedure to follow for attendance, lunch count, and homework turn in, because these procedures would be practiced and implemented at the beginning of the year. I would always have a quick assignment on the board for students to begin working on right away so that we can start the day off productively. We would then move into our lessons. My lessons would include whole group, small group, and individual instruction.(this would be a good place to mention specific things you would do with the school's curriculum, like expanding on your 4block routine if you know they use four block) I really believe in making the content relavent to my students lives and I try to provide hands-on opportunities for learning as often as I can. My day would probably finish with a read aloud to my students. I find that is the perfect way to end a great day.

I hope this give you some ideas. I think it is important to try and be specific in your answers with examples and descriptions. You don't want to be overly generic with everything. Paint a picture for them. This is one question I had really thought out in advance and I know they were impressed by my answer because the principal actually said, "Excellent answer."
