Grades By Lori

I know what you mean about them not wanting to do anything if it isn't for a grade; my own daughter often uses that excuse for poor work!! ARGH! Yet, as you say everything they do really does affect their grade. The more they read, the better they are at it and the better grades they will make. School was so easy for me as a kid and I know it was because I always had my nose stuck in a book. Now, I don't necessarilly think that is good either -- I needed to be a bit more well rounded -- I needed to be more active, etc. It's a shame that we often don't want to do things for the right reason rather than some outside incentive -- and kids aren't the only ones.
