meet with you?

I don't know that I would suggest an interview, but I would tell them that you're going to be in the area from out of state and would like to meet with them. Maybe during the meeting you could ask when they will be interviewing. It would be convenient to interview while you are there, but it depends on when they will interview. Usually they interview everyone within a week or two, and they may not be ready to interview during the time you are there.

I would definitely ask if you could meet with them though. Tell them that you aren't from the area. When you meet with them let them know you are interested in interviewing and teaching in their schools.
