Here are the five components of reading:
1)Phonemic Awareness
The ability to hear, identify and manipulate
the individual sounds (phonemes) in spoken words
2)Phonics
The relationship between phonemes (the sounds
of the spoken language)
and graphemes (the letters and spellings that represent those sounds
in written language)
3)Vocabulary
The development of information about the meanings and
pronunciations of words
4)Fluency
The ability to read text accurately and quickly
5)Comprehension
Understanding, remembering and communicating with others
about what has been
read

As far as the other question, are they wanting you to pick out a time of day and describe what would be going on? Or are they being general? I mean, at different times, you would see different things, however, if they want a generic answer, I would say something along the lines of students engaged and on task, actively learning. If they want you to describe a certain time, you might pick the beginning of the day, or your reading time and describe what would be going on at those times. Good luck!
