I know how you feel. I'm a rule follower because I'm new, and I don't want the administration to have a reason not to back me up on an issue. There are other teachers in my building, though, who let kids get away with all kinds of stuff, and then I'm the meanie. Our last day with the kids is on Wednesday, so I'm just going to do what I know is right and not say a word to anyone. Going by comments I've heard from administrators, they already know that these things are going on, and they're handling it privately. I never had to say a word to them; news spreads quickly at my school.
