I teach in Maryland and was hired in August--one week before school started. I wasn't called for any interviews until July. In my county, they first haveto placethe job on an internal vacancy list so that teachers in the coutnycna apply, they post one of these lists each month through June, then they start hiring new grads and teachers from outside the county. So don't get worried yet!
