also moving 3rd to 2nd

I just was informed this a.m. that I'll be teaching 2nd next year after several years in 3rd (with an interlude in K). I'm sad to be leaving 3rd; I really felt like I had it together this year and was eager to return next year and build on my experiences. But I'm cautiously optimistic that teaching a year younger will also be a worthwhile experience, and perhaps even a good move career-wise (no more MAP tests!). I'll start checking this board now--keep posting suggestions for us newbies please!
