Why doesn't the school have a fence up around the playground area. I teach in the largest school district in my county and there are eight classes per grade. The playground can be a bit crazy and there are many places the kiddo's can hide. The school decided to fence off the different play areas. This helps to keep the children in a large contained area and the teachers on duty can place themselves in the proximity of the exit areas. We did have many try to escape before the fencing and we have not had any missing students since putting it up. Even the middle school has a fence up and around the play areas at lunch areas.
